Your notes stay with your account
Say it in the paddock. That's your diary.
My Paddock by Edge & Embers collects only what the paddock diary needs. For NZ farmers and lifestyle block owners. We treat those notes as personal information and do not collect more than we need to run the diary.
This notice describes the information the app and website collect to run the diary, who can see it, and how long we keep it.
What we collect
Account email, farm and paddock names, the voice or text notes you choose to log, photos you attach to a note, and the structured fields you confirm.
What we do not do
- We do not sell paddock notes or photos.
- We do not post them to Facebook or to government systems.
- Logging a movement here is not a NAIT notification and is not sent to NAIT.
How long we keep it
- Structured diary logs are retained for at least 2 years.
- Raw audio is typically deleted after about 90 days.
AI and photos
Voice notes are transcribed and extracted using AI services that may process audio offshore (Whisper / Claude). Structured farm logs are retained for at least two years. Raw audio is typically deleted after about 90 days.
Livestock and pasture photos stay on your farm account, with the same access rules as your other notes. Claude reads them to indicate liveweight or cover, and that processing may happen offshore. We do not sell them. We only use them to train models if you turn that on.
