Privacy

Paddock by Edge & Embers collects only what the farm diary needs. This stub is oriented to New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020. The full written policy is still being finished.

What we collect

Account email, farm and paddock names, the voice or text notes you choose to log, and the structured fields you confirm. We do not need more than that to run the diary.

What we do not do

We do not sell farm notes.
We do not post them to Facebook or to government systems.
Logging a movement here is not a NAIT notification and is not sent to NAIT.

Retention

Structured farm logs are retained for at least 2 years.
Raw audio is typically deleted after about 90 days.

AI processing

Voice notes are transcribed and extracted using AI services that may process audio offshore (Whisper / Claude). Structured farm logs are retained for at least two years. Raw audio is typically deleted after about 90 days.
